Toyota Halts Bookings for CNG Variants of Rumion MPV
In a recent development, Toyota has stopped accepting bookings for the CNG variants of the Rumion MPV. Despite its popularity among buyers since its launch in August 2023, customers seeking the CNG option may need to reconsider their choice due to this suspension.
High Demand and Waiting Period
The Rumion, available in three variants - S, G, and V, has witnessed significant demand, resulting in a waiting period of 28-32 weeks for gasoline variants. However, bookings for the CNG versions are temporarily halted by the manufacturer.
Power and Performance
Powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine, the Rumion delivers 103bhp/136Nm in petrol mode and 87bhp/121Nm in CNG mode. It comes with a standard five-speed manual transmission, with the petrol variant offering an optional six-speed torque converter unit.
Competitive Pricing and Market Competition
Priced between Rs. 10.44 lakh to Rs. 13.73 lakh (ex-showroom), the Rumion competes against models like the Maruti Suzuki Eritga and the Kia Carens in the Indian market.
